The traditional Norwegian spruce (Picea abies) is the most popular British Christmas tree, yet concerns over its ability to keep its needles over Christmas means that people are abandoning it for non-drop species.
It's true that Norwegians drop their needles, but as BBC Gardener's World demonstrated in December 2006, a freshly cut Norwegian spruce that is properly cared for can last as well as a Nordman, and therefore represents much better value. All our Norwegian spruces are grown on site and are freshly cut.
